Neel Lane's practice principally consists of representing insurers in coverage litigation, class action suits, reinsurance arbitrations and other disputes.
Neel has extensive experience in all aspects of coverage analysis and litigation involving the full range of insurance risks. He is known for his knowledge and appreciation of his clientsā business operations and interests, and for formulating strategies that best serve those interests. He has conducted numerous jury trials, bench trials, and arbitrations, and has argued numerous state and federal court appeals. His many years of courtroom and appellate experience provides a strong basis for evaluating his clientsā risks, whether as coverage or monitoring counsel. Outside of his core expertise, Neel has handled notable pro bono cases, including lawsuits challenging state restrictions on same-sex marriage and habeas corpus petitions challenging death penalty sentences. He has also frequently testified before the legislature on matters of public importance.
