Career
With more than twenty-five years of experience, Nadia González Elizondo is a distinguished Labor and Employment Law Consultant recognized for her strategic and comprehensive advisory practice. She counsels national and international companies across the full spectrum of employment and human capital matters, combining deep technical knowledge of Mexican labor law with a pragmatic understanding of business operations.
Nadia is renowned for providing strategic, preventive, and corrective counsel that aligns legal compliance with business objectives. Her practice covers transactional employment due diligence, executive compensation, workforce restructuring, workplace investigations, and the labor components of mergers, acquisitions, and corporate reorganizations. She has guided multinational corporations, financial institutions, and industrial groups through complex regulatory frameworks, ensuring adherence to Mexican labor legislation, international labor standards, and trade agreements such as the USMCA.
Her ability to simplify complex regulations and design practical, risk-preventive strategies has made her a trusted advisor for clients in sectors including retail, fintech, manufacturing, mining, renewable energy, and services.
After leading labor practices at several of Mexico’s most prominent law firms—Galicia Abogados, De la Vega & Martínez Rojas, Santamarina y Steta, and Basham, Ringe y Correa—she established her independent consultancy in 2023, offering tailored, high-level labor and employment advisory services aligned with the operational and strategic needs of each organization.
Since 2016, Nadia has been continuously ranked by Chambers & Partners Latin America for Labor and Employment Law. She has also been recognized by Who’s Who Legal as a Thought Leader and by International Employment Lawyer as a Women Leader for Mexico. In June 2025, she attended the 113th International Labour Conference in Geneva as an Advisor to the Mexican Employer Delegation, underscoring her commitment to shaping responsible labor practices and contributing to international dialogue on decent work.
Nadia has been a professor of Employment Law at both the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) and the Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey, teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She frequently participates as a speaker and moderator in national and international labor forums and is widely recognized for her advocacy of gender equality, women’s empowerment, and ethical labor practices.
Professional Memberships
Nadia is admitted to practice law in Mexico since 1998 and is an active member of multiple professional organizations. She has been a longstanding member of the Mexican Bar Association (Barra Mexicana Colegio de Abogados, A.C., Nuevo León Inn), where she coordinated the Labor and Employment Law Committee in three consecutive terms (2014–2016, 2020–2022, 2022–2024) and served as board member from 2016 to 2018 and again from 2020 to 2022.
She is also a member of the National Association of Business Lawyers (ANADE), Nuevo León Inn, currently serving as Coordinator of its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee for the 2025–2027 term.
Nadia was Deputy Director of the National Labor Committee of the Maquiladora and Export Manufacturing Industry Council (INDEX) between 2019 and 2022 and has been a member of the Group of Experts of the Labor, Social Security and Human Resources Committee of the Mexican Confederation of Industrial Chambers (CONCAMIN) since February 2022.
Internationally, she is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) and the American Bar Association (ABA).

Personal
Nadia is deeply passionate about labor and employment law and finds genuine fulfillment in advising employers conducting business in Mexico. Throughout her career, she has built lasting professional relationships and close friendships with colleagues around the world, reflecting her collaborative and human approach to legal practice.
She describes herself as a resilient and loyal woman who enjoys challenging paradigms and driving meaningful change. Since being diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in 2020, she has become an active advocate for lupus awareness and for the visibility of gender and disability issues within the legal profession, believing that true inclusion and diversity require both recognition and representation.
Known for her professional loyalty, strong work ethic, and strategic vision, Nadia is also an empathetic mentor and a passionate advocate for gender equality and women’s empowerment. Outside her professional life, she proudly embraces her role as “auntie” to her four nieces and one nephew—an important source of joy and inspiration that keeps her grounded and motivated.

From September 2018 to February 2023, Nadia served as Counsel and Co-Head of the Labor & Employment Practice at Galicia Abogados, S.C., Monterrey, where she founded and developed the practice area. In that capacity, she advised on the labor aspects of complex corporate transactions, workforce restructurings, and compliance strategies, while also contributing to firm-wide initiatives on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, ESG, and post-pandemic workplace adaptation.
Previously, she was Non-Equity Partner at De la Vega & Martínez Rojas, S.C., providing comprehensive advisory services on all facets of employment law, including employment agreements, internal policies, workplace investigations, and terminations. Earlier in her career, as Senior Associate at Santamarina y Steta, S.C., she focused on collective bargaining, union negotiations, discrimination and human rights claims, and social security matters. She began her professional path at Basham, Ringe y Correa, S.C., where she advised multinational clients on employment compliance and immigration procedures.
