Career

Morten is Head of Corporate / M&A in Copenhagen, with a particular focus on the tech & comms, retail & consumer, media, entertainment & sports sectors.

His main focus is on M&A and he has extensive experience negotiating and advising on business transfers on the Danish market.

Morten has advised both Danish and international companies, as well as private equity funds, on M&A transactions. In the last decade he has advised on some of the most notable transactions in the Danish market, including multibillion EUR transactions.

Before focusing on M&A, Morten previously worked at one of the most prominent IP law departments in Denmark, which has provided him with significant insight into the business of and the challenges faced by companies where the IP rights are the main asset. He is therefore particularly strong on M&A transactions for such companies, including companies within the tech, fashion, design and media industries.

As one of Denmark's leading sports and entertainment legal experts, Morten also has extensive experience advising film companies, production companies, advertising agencies and athletes on sports and entertainment law: for example, in connection with production agreements, player contracts, sponsorship agreements and management agreements.

Work Highlights

- Advised the management in connection with the management buy-out of Astralis from RFRSH.

- Advised the owners of Ganni in connection with the sale of a majority stake to LVMH affiliated private equity fund L Catterton.

- Advised Noreco in connection with the acquisition of Shell's Danish upstream activities.

- Advised Synlab in connection with the acquisition of the Danish IT company DMDD A/S.

- Advised the owners of Danish architectural firm Kant in connection with the sale to listed company SWECO.
