Career
Ms. Fiallo Paradas has been part of the Firm since 2001 and its Partner since 2019. She has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of Intellectual Property, Business, Immigration, Labor, and Family Law. She has been for more than 15 years member of the Asociación Dominicana de Propiedad Intelectual (ADOPI) and was its President of its Board of Directors for the period 2020-2022. In addition, she represents Russin Vecchi & Heredia Bonetti, in the International Trademark Association (INTA) where she has participated as a member of several of its committees, such as INTA’s General TM Enforcement Matters Subcommittee, Parallel Imports Committee and Right of Publicity Committee.
Throughout her professional career she has advised leading companies in the pharmaceutical, veterinary, nutritional, music, technology, among other sectors since its incorporation and during the course of its operations, assisting them in the protection of their rights in administrative processes before the Oficina Nacional de la Propiedad Intelectual (ONAPI), Ministerio de Salud Pública and the Instituto de Defensa de los Derechos del Consumidor (Proconsumidor), as well as before the courts of the Republic.
Her experience includes cases of counterfeit products, violation and defense of copyright, image rights, compliance with regulatory issues and licenses, distribution, advertising, labor rights, transactional movement of personnel and immigration permits.
Within the Family Law area, Ms. Fiallo Paradas, handles international adoption procedures, civil and canonic divorce matters, inheritance, alimony and custody claims and negotiations.
Ranked by Chambers Latin America uninterrupted since 2015 as “Intellectual Property Associates to Watch” and currently ranks in Band 3 in the Intellectual Property practice area. She has also been recommended by Legal 500 Latin America as Next Generation Partner, a significant recognition from our clients.
She is professor of Intellectual Property and Inventions at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) and the National School of Public Ministry.
