Career
Mohamed Lemine Abdel Hamid has been practicing law and nothing but law for almost 40 years with the law firm Étude Abdel Hamid & Co., of which he is the founder. He has been a member of the Nouakchott Bar since 1984. Mohamed Lemine Abdel Hamid graduated in private law from the Strasbourg Faculty of Law in France and the Tunis Faculty of Law and Economics. Mohamed Lemine Abdel Hamid's main area of practice is business law, where he acts as defence counsel, plaintiff, and often on a consultancy basis. Mohamed Lemine Abdel Hamid has a sound knowledge of the institutional and regulatory framework in Mauritania, having practiced it either during litigation proceedings or through opinions and briefs prepared for his clients, but above all, having been in charge of the related legal aspects. Mohamed Lemine Abdel Hamid has appeared before foreign courts, in particular in Senegal, Mali, Benin, Guinea, and France, and most often before Mauritanian courts.
