A successful negotiator, Mitra resolves most of cases before court but she also has experience of taking complex matters to final hearings and achieving significant results, such as the removal and replacement of trustees, attorneys, and deputies who breached their duties.
An advocate for raising awareness about mental capacity issues, Mitra is a trained Dementia Friends Champion, delivering presentations and seminars to promote understanding of financial exploitation and safeguarding vulnerable individuals. She has completed the ACTAPS (Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists) training course and is a member of ConTrA (Contentious Trusts Association) and the STEP Mental Capacity Special Interest Groups (SIGs).
A recognised specialist author, Mitra is the author of “Court of Protection: A Practical Guide to Gifting” and is publishing her second book “Financial Abuse: A Practical Guide to Removing Attorneys and Deputies” in 2026. She has also written numerous articles and delivers training, webinars, and seminars on contentious probate and mental capacity law.
