Practice Areas

Laura is a Partner in the Disputed Wills and Trusts team, heading up the Birmingham region. She deals with disputes relating to Wills, Trusts, and Estates.

Laura has a wide range of experience spanning nearly 20 years in private client disputes.

Laura’s background was a mixed role of both contentious and general private client work and she is a full member of STEP. This is unusual among her peers but makes her a stronger litigator for understanding what is involved in preparing a will, administering an estate and also understanding issues of taxation.

Laura prides herself on her empathy for clients who are typically anxious having suffered a bereavement and then being embroiled in litigation often with family members. This and her ability to see both sides of an argument allow her to advise pragmatically and broker a solution in lots of cases without the stress, delay, cost and risk of litigation.

Professional Memberships

Laura is a full member of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the global professional association for those advising in private client work. She has also completed the ACTAPS education course for contentious trusts and probate practitioners and is a member of ConTra, the Contentious Trusts Association.
