Career

Mrs. Mirna Wilches Navarro leads the practice areas related to individual and collective labor law, constitutional actions and advice on labor and employment practice, as well as matters related to administrative labor law. Her experience in providing legal advice to national and international companies, her extensive knowledge and specific attention to detail, together with her expertise managing labor administrative processes with the Ministry of Labor and the Pensions and Parafiscal Unit, make her a key partner for organizations that entrust Chapman Wilches with their legal advice and representation in labor matters.

Professional Memberships

Mrs. Wilches is part of international and national associations such as the International Bar Association and the Global Forum on Migration Board of the International Organization of Employers, where she participated on behalf of Colombia in New York and Dhaka, Bangladesh editions. She has also represented the Employers Commission designated by the Colombian Government before the ILO General Assembly in 2016 and 2019.

In addition, she is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Bar Association of Labor of Colombia- where she was president from July 2020 to July 2021-, Member of the Legal Committee of the Barranquilla Chamber of Commerce, Member of the Legal Committee of ACRIP, member of the Council of Members of the ANDI Chamber of Legal Services and the Study Center (CESLA) of the same association.

Personal

For three times, she is one of the 20 shortlisted justice candidates for the Supreme Court of Justice. Her active and constant participation in different international summits, meetings, seminars, and conferences, as well as her sensitivity towards diversity and gender equity issues, have made her a leader in promoting recruitment and career policies to advance gender equity as a pillar of growth and strengthening in the development of companies. Such leadership has allowed her to achieve significant results in Chapman Wilches, where the company's directors are, for the most part, women, thus breaking down the barriers and obstacles to occupy representative positions in law firms that women usually must face.
