Michael is a partner in Reed Smith’s Banking & Finance Department, based in the firm’s Hong Kong office. He has been a partner of the firm since 2019.
Michael’s practice focuses on general banking and cross-border finance transactions, in which he represents lenders and borrowers in syndicated and bilateral loan transactions, including real estate finance, debt refinancing, equity margin financing, structured financing, pre-IPO financing and general credit facilities in Hong Kong, PRC and overseas markets.
Michael also has experience in sustainable finance and has acted for a number of borrowers on their debut sustainably-linked loans and green loans in recent years.
Michael joined the firm in 2008 and is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. He was admitted as a solicitor in Victoria (Australia) in 2009 and in Hong Kong in 2010.
