Experience

• Advising listed companies on the QFMA corporate governance regime (including conducting workshops).

• Reviewing proposed changes to the Commercial Companies Law to facilitate takeovers

• Reviewing takeover documentation and reviewing corporate governance reports of listed companies for compliance with the QFMA Corporate Governance Code.

• Involved in the drafting, advising, and introduction of the digital assets framework in the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC).

• Advising clients on company incorporations in the QFC, including scope of activities, application reviews, and regulatory alignment.

• Represented clients in regulatory investigations and disciplinary procedures by DFSA.

• Advised CEO on capital markets transactions and governance compliance; oversaw IPOs and M&A processes for listed entities on Qatar Exchange.

• Managed IPOs and takeovers including Vodafone and Gulf Warehousing; developed and implemented QFMA’s Corporate Governance Code.
