Matthew Briggs

Matt Briggs is a Partner in the Private Wealth team at Boyes Turner. He advises UK and internationally connected families on complex tax, trusts and succession matters, with particular expertise in cross- border estate planning, family governance and the structuring of wealth-holding arrangements. His practice frequently involves the intersection of personal wealth and business interests, including business succession and shareholder planning.

Matt is known for his thoughtful, values-led approach to navigating sensitive family dynamics and aligning competing priorities across generations. He works collaboratively with other professional advisers - including accountants, financial planners and corporate specialists - to deliver coordinated, technically robust solutions.

He also advises on philanthropy and charity governance, supporting clients in developing structured, long-term giving strategies.

Matt sits on the STEP Philanthropy Advisors Global Special Interest Group Steering Committee and previously served as its Deputy Chair.
