Matthew Evans serves as Technical Underwriter at Ignite, having previously held the role of Litigation Portfolio Manager within the company. He brings over 17 years of distinguished legal experience and is recognised by Legal 500 as both an ‘outstanding litigator’ with ‘inventive legal thinking’, establishing himself as an authority in commercial and financial disputes. Prior to joining Ignite, he spent over 17 years at Latham & Watkins (London and Brussels), and Reynolds Porter Chamberlain, including as Of Counsel.

Matthew’s expertise in complex litigation and hands-on approach strengthens Ignite’s commitment to excellence in litigation risk insurance, with extensive experience overseeing diverse litigation portfolios and managing cases from inception to trial across corporate disputes, group claims, and catastrophe claims in the High Court.
