Career

Matt is a partner based in our Hong Kong office. Matt focuses in corporate finance work, including initial public offerings, secondary offerings and M&A. Matt is involved in numerous high profile deals advising companies, Bulge Bracket banks and other financial institutions on corporate and compliance matters. In particular, he focuses in corporate finance, including initial public offerings, secondary offerings and mergers and acquisitions. Matt was appointed as member and Deputy Chairman of the Listing Committee of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.

- CITIC Securities (Hong Kong) Limited as the Sole Sponsor and CLSA Limited, China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Securities Limited, Jefferies Hong Kong Limited, Deutsche Bank AG, Hong Kong Branch and CMB International Capital Limited as the Overall Coordinators of QuantumPharm Inc. (02228.HK)'s HK$989 millionlisting on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. QuantumPharm is the first listing under Chapter 18C, a new regime introduced by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in March 2023 for technology companies.

- Advising MMG Limited (01208.HK) on a HK$9 billion rights issue, one of the largest equity fundraising exercises in Hong Kong's capital markets in 2024.

- Hua Hong Semiconductor Limited as its Hong Kong legal advisers on the Hong Kong law aspects of its RMB21.2 billion (US$2.96 billion) initial public offering and listing on the STAR Market of the Shanghai Stock Exchange. This is the largest A-share listing in 2023 so far, and the third-largest listing on the STAR Market of the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
