Martje is widely recognised for her expertise in the energy sector, where she advises clients on critical strategic issues and has represented companies in a wide range of matters. She has over 15 years' experience in the energy sector, including in-house experience gained during a secondment to Shell. Having developed her expertise in De Brauw's arbitration and litigation department, Martje has fully moved to De Brauw's public law practice to expand her work on multi-disciplinary energy and infrastructure-related matters, assisting clients with regulatory issues in projects, transactions and disputes. Clients value Martje as an accomplished practitioner who can advise on both legal and economic issues in complex matters. She also handles highly political and sensitive disputes and negotiations, managing numerous stakeholders and interests.
