Mr. Sosland concentrates his practice on business reorganizations, refinancings and acquisitions of troubled companies, and counseling boards of directors and senior executives facing complex insolvency issues. He served as lead counsel in major chapter 11 cases, including Dallas Stars, Texas Rangers, SemGroup, Crescent Resources and Blockbuster, led the out of court restructuring of Georgia Proton Treatment Center, counseled the board of Promise Healthcare and represented senior executives of Neiman Marcus Group. He represented purchasers of Option One Mortgage, Synagro Technologies and the Special Business segment of International Shipholding. He is currently representing major creditors of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and Highland Capital Management. He has also represented statutory creditors’ committees in several major chapter 11 cases.
