Mark Perlow

Mark Perlow, a partner in Dechert’s San Francisco office, represents registered funds (including exchange-traded funds, mutual funds, closed-end funds and interval funds), hedge fund managers, fund independent directors, investment advisers, broker-dealers and other financial services firms on a broad range of regulatory and transactional matters. Perlow is one of the leaders of Dechert’s fintech practice and advises investment managers and fund sponsors on matters relating to artificial intelligence, crypto assets and technology, and digital investment advice. Mr. Perlow has extensive experience structuring, forming and reorganizing registered funds and hedge funds; preparing and negotiating fund documents and agreements, including those relating to marketing and distribution; and assisting clients on adviser and fund mergers, acquisitions, and adoptions. Mr. Perlow has counseled clients on a wide range of legal and regulatory issues facing financial services firms and registered and private funds, including those presented by alternative and traditional assets and strategies; corporate and fund governance; derivatives, short selling and market integrity; conflicts of interest and ethics; and valuation and liquidity matters.
