Career

Mark has been based in Singapore for 20 years and has experience of most major issues encountered by insurers and reinsurers across Asia during that time.

Mark is an insurance and reinsurance dispute resolution specialist, with a particular focus on property, construction and engineering, power and energy, and associated business interruption claims. He has a particular interest in complex business interruption and delay in start-up claims as well as political violence claims.

Mark is often appointed on high profile, high value and technically complex market losses and has been able to resolve the large majority of claims without the need to litigate or arbitrate through the provision of sensible and realistic advice on the merits, negotiation and mediation.

He has significant arbitration experience and regularly acts as coordinating counsel on subrogated recovery actions globally, mainly arising out of power generation and large commercial property losses.
