Practice Areas
Marios Lambis KC has spent his entire career undertaking criminal, professional discipline, and regulatory work. Originally from a criminal practice covering major frauds and terrorist cases, including the first Iraqi Hijacking trial where he was the youngest counsel instructed, he has developed extensive expertise across these fields.
His experience has led him to work before most regulators, not only presenting and defending cases but also advising. Notably, he was one of only eight lawyers—and the only junior counsel—invited to advise on the new fitness to practice rules for the body taking over hearings for the General Medical Council.
Throughout his career, Marios has advised and represented the Home Office, multinational enterprises, NGOs, domestic and international corporate entities, and regulators. His work spans environmental pollution, health and safety, fitness to practice of professionals facing criminal allegations, and how corporate entities meet their regulatory obligations. He has also chaired meetings between multinationals and NGOs, both overseas and in the UK.
Marios is a Recorder of the Crown Court, authorised to try Serious Sexual Offences and hear appeals. He won Professional Disciplinary and Regulatory Silk of the Year at the Legal 500 UK Bar Awards 2023 and has since been shortlisted for the same award in 2024 and 2025, as well as for Professional Discipline Silk of the Year at the Chambers & Partners UK Bar Awards 2024.
