Mario Luza Bautista is a founding partner and the managing partner of the Firm.
He is the General Counsel and a director of ABS-CBN Corporation.
Under Mr. Bautista's lead, the Firm
- represented ABS-CBN Corporation, a major broadcaster, in Supreme Court proceedings for the cancellation of its legislative franchise
- advised and represented ABS-CBN in hearings before the House of Representatives concerning the renewal of its franchise
- successfully defended President Benigno C. Aquino III before the anti-graft court against criminal charges relating to the deaths of police operatives during a raid to capture terrorists in Mamapasano, Maguindanao
- secured injunction against the enforcement a Department of Health rule to regulate the e-cigarette industry
Mr. Bautista was a private prosecutor in the impeachment trial of President Joseph Estrada in 2001. He was the lead private prosecutor in the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona in 2012 which resulted in a conviction and removal from office.
