Maria Ross

Maria Ross is a corporate finance lawyer based in London. She has practised for over 30 years exclusively in the insurance sector.

Maria’s corporate experience includes mergers and acquisitions, complex reinsurance arrangements (including longevity transactions), insurance business transfers, restructuring, outsourcing and distribution arrangements and intra-group reorganisations. In addition to transactional work, Maria advises many clients on a day-to-day basis on regulatory issues. This ranges from authorisations, ongoing business regulation, capital issues and product compliance. Maria spent one year on secondment to a major UK insurance company and much of her practice is focussed on the life sector.

Maria is ranked personally in Chambers and in Legal 500 (member of the Hall of Fame) and is listed as an “Acritas Star”. She has been described as “a current luminary of the sector”.
