Career
Marc Solomon works in the firm's Creditors' Rights & Bankruptcy and Litigation groups. His practice focuses on the representation of unsecured creditors' committees, corporate debtors of various sizes and of financial institutions, and trade creditors' in creditors' rights matters both in and outside of bankruptcy.
Recent engagements include representing a large automobile supplier in a successful Chapter 11 reorganization and of a trade creditor in the transfer of a large bankruptcy case from the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York to the Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida.
Marc’s practice is national in scope and includes the representation of clients from various industries, including the automotive, retail and manufacturing industries in bankruptcy cases throughout the country. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Georgia State Bar, the Birmingham Bar Association, and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He also serves as a member of the firm’s Recruiting and Technology Committees.
Marc received his B.A., summa cum laude, in 1999 from Gettysburg College, and his J.D. in 2002 from Duke University School of Law. During law school, he served as Articles Editor of Law & Contemporary Problems. Following law school, Marc served as a Judicial Clerk to The Honorable Inge P. Johnson, United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama in the 2002-03 term.
