Mahmoud (Mac) Fadlallah

Mahmoud (Mac) Fadlallah is the partner-in-charge of Akin's Dubai office. He focuses his practice on the application of U.S. law outside the United States, particularly with respect to global investigations and compliance with international sanctions, export controls and anticorruption laws.

Mr. Fadlallah has been based in the United Arab Emirates since 2012, where he counsels clients across a variety of sectors, including aerospace and defense, satellite, manufacturing, logistics and freight forwarding, communications and technology, financial/banking, energy, automotive, health care, industrial and chemical.

He also counsels companies on the sanctions and export control considerations associated with business in Russia, Iran, and other U.S. sanctioned countries, secondary sanctions exposure and associated risks.

Mr. Fadlallah joined Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP in Washington, DC in 2010, before relocating to Dubai to open the firm’s Dubai office.

Mr. Fadlallah is a member of the Bar of the District of Columbia and the State of New York. He is also a Legal Consultant registered with the Dubai Legal Affairs Department.

Mr. Fadlallah received his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 2004 and his J.D. from the University of Minnesota in 2008.
