Mahmoud is a partner in the Riyadh office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and leads the Firm's banking and finance practice in Saudi Arabia. His practice focuses on representing major financial institutions, corporates, project sponsors, governments, and sovereign entities in connection with complex project financings, Islamic financings (including sukuk issuances), structured financings, and financial restructurings.

Mahmoud has particular expertise in energy and infrastructure projects, including water desalination facilities, cogeneration developments, and power projects. He regularly advises on multi-source financing structures involving commercial lenders, development finance institutions, and export credit agencies.

Mahmoud has been based in Saudi Arabia for over 15 years, during which he has advised leading financial institutions, developers, corporate clients, and government entities on significant transactions across the energy, infrastructure, and financial services sectors.
