Career

Luiz Marcelo Góis is a founding partner of GBM Advogados. He advises companies on the various aspects of employment and labour law representing clients in complex court cases, such as public civil actions, actions involving collective labour disputes, and individual lawsuits involving sensitive matters such as work-related accidents, violation of compliance programs, and claims by corporate executives.

Luiz Marcelo conducts in-company training sessions on employment-related matters such as compliance, harassment prevention, and adaptation to Brazil’s General Data Protection Law. He also acts as an external consultant to clients’ compliance committees.

Luiz Marcelo has over 20 years of experience advising companies from oil and gas, energy, banking and finance, infrastructure, construction, retail, tourism, technology, telecommunications, services, entertainment, and other industries.

He also has acquired expertise in dealing with employment issues and disputes arising from privatizations of state-owned enterprises. He lectures on Employment Law in specialization programs at the Fundação Getúlio Vargas law school.
