Career
Luis Alonso García has more than 30 years of professional experience, combining senior leadership roles in the public sector with a successful private practice advising national and international clients. His Intellectual Property practice focuses on the strategic management and protection of IP portfolios, the design of enforcement programs, the negotiation of licensing and technology transfer agreements, and the articulation of innovation and commercialization strategies.
In International Trade, he advises on trade compliance, market access regulation, competition, dispute resolution, and trade defense measures, representing clients in complex cross-border matters before national authorities, the Court of Justice of the Andean Community, and other international forums.
Luis Alonso has been a frequent speaker at national and international conferences on IP, trade, and regulatory law, and has contributed to legislative reform discussions in these areas. He has served as a professor at various universities, teaching courses on Intellectual Property and International Trade Law.
He holds a law degree from the Universidad de Lima and a Master’s in Global Business Management from the Universidad del Pacífico.
