Luca Lo Po' is a partner and the Head of the Financial Services and Capital Markets Department at DWF's Milan Office in Italy. Luca is widely regarded in Italy as a specialist in financial and banking regulation as well as capital markets and listed companies' compliance.

Before joining the firm, Luca has worked for the Listed Companies Supervision Division at the Italian Stock Exchange and for leading Italian and international law firms in London and Milan.

Luca has a top-notch expertise in industrial M&A and private equity transactions with a specific focus on public M&A deals and acquisitions of, or by, listed companies or other regulated financial intermediaries. In this area of practice, Luca assists both Italian and international players either buy or sell-side.

Luca assists banks, fund managers, investment firms and other financial institutions in a variety of financial services issues, including, MiFID, AIFMD, UCITS, Market Abuse, Short Selling, Insurance Regulations and crowdfunding as well as peer-to-peer lending.

The capital markets experience covers equity transactions (such as IPOs and rights issues), debt offerings (including structured products and hybrid instruments) and takeovers.

Luca has been awarded an LL.M. in European Banking Law and Financial Regulation at the London School of Economics & Political Science and he is author of several publications on financial regulation and company law.

He is regularly invited as speaker at seminars and conferences and Luca has served as contract professor of financial regulation at Bocconi University in Milan.
