Lourdes Dávalos is the Managing Partner at Dávalos Abogados.
Born in Havana, she is a lawyer with dual qualifications in Cuba and Spain. She is internationally recognised as one of the most influential lawyers practising in Cuba. Her extensive experience in negotiating foreign investment projects with the Cuban government and state-owned enterprises at all institutional levels, across a wide range of economic sectors, underscores this reputation.
She advises foreign investors from various jurisdictions (both private and state entities) on cross-border transactions, international contracts, project financing, and the establishment of joint ventures in Cuba (including setting up businesses in the Mariel Special Development Zone).
Her areas of expertise include international corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, project financing, debt restructuring, and foreign investments, with a particular emphasis on cross-border investments involving Spain, Cuba, and other Latin American countries.
