Lonny Rosen

LONNY ROSEN was called to the Ontario Bar in 1998 and has over 25 years of experience in the area of professional regulation. He is certified by the Law Society of Ontario as a Specialist in Health Law. In addition to serving as ILC for several regulators, Lonny is regularly involved in assisting clients with complaint and discipline matters, investigations, audits and peer reviews and hearings before various tribunals. Lonny advises individual and institutional clients on a wide variety of regulatory issues, including issues with respect to legislation, policies, protocols and guidelines. Lonny has represented registrants (as well as complainants in third party records motions) in proceedings before the discipline committees of many regulators (including the CNO).

Since 2019, Lonny has been a member of Osgoode Hall Law School’s Adjunct Faculty, teaching Health Law. Lonny is a member of the governing council of the Medico-Legal Society of Toronto. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of The Advocates’ Society, and as chair of the Health Law Sections of both the Canadian Bar Association and Ontario Bar Association. For six years, Lonny served as a member of the Hospital for Sick Children’s Research Ethics Board. Lonny frequently writes and speaks on health and regulatory law issues.
