Linnea Ljung

Linnea Ljung is a leading environmental law expert with nearly two decades of experience advising on complex regulatory and transactional matters. After earning her LL.M. in 2007, she spent over 15 years at two of Sweden’s top-tier full-service law firms before founding Pogona Law Firm in 2024—a boutique firm dedicated exclusively to environmental business law.

Linnea’s practice covers a wide range of environmental law issues. She is frequently retained in high-stakes permit proceedings and regulatory matters across sectors such as waterworks, contaminated land, waste management, energy, mining, chemicals, and manufacturing. Her clients include some of Sweden’s largest corporations, international companies, municipalities, and public authorities.

Widely recognized as a go-to advisor for environmental liability and contract matters, Linnea regularly negotiates the environmental aspects of mergers and acquisitions, business transfers, and real estate deals involving complex environmental risks. Her skill in identifying and managing environmental liabilities in transactional contexts and during the development of legacy sites is particularly well regarded. She also serves on the board of Nätverket Renare Mark, a national network for professionals working with contaminated land.
