Lina Londoño is a Counsel recognized for her strong expertise in corporate finance, capital markets and sovereign debt. With over 11 years of experience, she is noted for advising the Republic of Colombia on high level international financings and for leading the modernization of the public credit regime during her tenure as Head of Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Finance’s Public Credit Directorate.
She has acted on some of the most complex and high profile transactions in the Colombian market, including advising IHC Capital Holding LLC on the landmark acquisition through which IHC and the Gilinski Group secured an 87% stake in Grupo Nutresa. Lina is also highly regarded for her work with major Colombian cities on international offerings, including Bogotá’s COP 2.3 trillion (USD 600 million) green bond issuance—the largest ever by a Latin American city—and Barranquilla’s USD 350 million green bond issuance. Her practice further includes advising on derivatives, ISDA documentation and fintech regulatory matters.
- Advised IHC Capital Holding LLC on the execution of a framework and settlement agreement (2023–2024) with Grupo Argos S.A., Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana S.A., Grupo Nutresa S.A., JGDB Holding S.A.S. and Nugil S.A.S., enabling IHC and the Gilinski Group to acquire an 87% stake in Grupo Nutresa. This transaction constituted the largest multilateral corporate deal among major Colombian and UAE conglomerates and required multiple regulatory approvals and a public tender offer.
- Advised the District of Bogotá on its landmark COP 2.3 trillion (approx. USD 600 million) green bond issuance under Rule 144A/Reg S, marking the city’s first international offering in 20 years and the largest green bond ever issued by a Latin American city.
- Advised the District of Barranquilla in the negotiation and closing of loan agreements with JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank (2025), as part of the city’s international financing strategy.
