Liesa Spiller

Liesa is head of the Litigation Department and specialises in Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury. She is recognised as one of the leading clinical negligence practitioners in Scotland and acts exclusively on behalf of pursuers.

Liesa is accredited as a specialist in Clinical Negligence Law by the Law Society of Scotland, is a Senior Litigator with APIL and a member of the Law Society Panel for Specialist Accreditation in Clinical Negligence.

Liesa trained with Drummond Miller and became a partner in 1996. She has been named on the elite list of leading lawyers in the UK along with her Band 1 ranking and is additionally recommended by the Legal 500 for Personal Injury. She has been ranked since 2007.

She has particular expertise in complex medical damage cases and fatal claims and has recovered many millions of pounds in compensation for her clients. She has successfully litigated cases at all levels and with a range of funding options. Liesa accepts instructions and referrals from solicitors throughout Scotland who may wish to benefit from her breadth of skill in what is a complex area of the law.
