Practice Areas
Liam specialises exclusively in family law and maintains a busy practice which includes both children and financial remedy work.
In his private children practice, Liam acts for parents and children in private law proceedings and is regularly instructed in cases which include allegations of domestic abuse, coercive and controlling behaviour and sexual assault. He is regularly instructed in matters involving disputes as to schooling, overseas travel, immunisations, and relocation both home and abroad. Liam has appeared in the High Court in matters of international abduction, Hague and Non-Hague Convention abductions, and matters involving medical treatment.
Liam also maintains a busy financial remedy practice and represents parties and intervenors in proceedings from initial advice at the contemplation of proceedings through to contested final hearings and appeals.
He has appeared in both the High Court and Court of Appeal alone, and as a Junior.
Liam was shortlisted for Family Law Young Barrister of the Year in 2021 and 2024, and Young Pro Bono Barrister of the Year in 2022 and 2024. He is a regular contributor to the Family Law Journal and Financial Remedies Journal.
