Practice Areas
I have over 35 years experience in the legal construction space and am a former senior partner of a global law firm. My experience comes with a track record of successfully acting for sophisticated clients in the resolution and conduct of major construction and engineering disputes.
The key sectors I specialise in are: Hard Infrastructure, Social Infrastructure, Renewables & Transmission, Rail & Light Rail and Mining.
This experience involves work in all major Australian Courts, including the High Court of Australia, as well as mediations, binding and non-binding expert determinations, mining warden enquiries, references to Special Referees, and domestic and international arbitrations.
I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the London Court for International Arbitration.
My new offering is the collaboration with in-house teams across Australia on the following:
• Tailored strategies for resolving and managing developing and active project claims
• Senior lawyer resourcing at Project or Head Office level for in-house legal teams needing immediate short-term reinforcement
• Developing and implementing strategies for the effective conduct of ongoing large construction and engineering disputes
• Management of external law firms acting on large infrastructure disputes to optimize legal outcomes while controlling costs.
