Laura Coyle

Laura is a specialist in both private and public law proceedings including;

Private Law: International Child Abduction; Hague and non-Hague, Wardship, International and internal relocation, Registration and enforcement of Orders made abroad, contact when a parent lives abroad under Article 21 Hague Convention, Freezing Orders and injunctions, Child Arrangements Orders; contact/ residence, Prohibited Steps Orders, Specific issues Orders, tracing the whereabouts of a child, Injunctions, separate representation of children, parental alienation and intractable contact disputes.

Public Law proceedings on behalf of parents and children; Non accidental injuries, sexual abuse, factious illness, extremism, substance misuse, neglect, psychiatric and psychological illness and international care proceedings including placement of children abroad.

Laura conducts her own advocacy where possible and is regularly instructed by Guardians on behalf of children in both private and public law. She has appeared in a number of reported cases and represents clients in the High Court, Court of Appeal as well as the Family Court. She is particularly well known for acting for children directly in complex matters.
