Kyle graduated from the University of California, Davis, where he interned for U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer and the U.S. Air Force. Kyle received first place honors in a mock trial competition, first place honors in a moot court competition, and admission into the Order of Barristers, a national honor society.
He also clerked for Cotchett, Pitre & McCarthy and the Honorable Kristin L. Mix of the U.S. District Court.
Kyle serves on the Board of Trustees for the Nevada Bar Foundation and Board of Directors for the Immigration Law Clinic Alumni Council. He previously served on the Executive Committee for the Howard D. McKibben American Inn of Court.
During World War II, the U.S. government detained Kyle's U.S. citizen grandparents because of their Japanese ancestry. Learning about this history inspired Kyle to protect immigrants’ rights.
Kyle was born in Boston and raised in Oakland. He previously served as a live-in caretaker for his grandfather. Kyle completed a ten-day silent meditation course and coached basketball. He enjoys meditation, yoga, basketball, golf, tennis, and snowboarding.
