Practice Areas

Klaus Dimigen assists banks and shipowners in the area of long-term ship financing loans, the establishment and separation of banking syndicates related to long term ship financings and in connection with the termination, enforcement and transfer of shipping loans. He also supports shipowners on all corporate and insolvency related issues. Finally, he advises non-bank capital providers in connection with alternative ship financing models and structures.

Being admitted for practice in Germany, Klaus works on all German law related matters, such as hypothecs, account pledges or matters related to entities incorporated in Germany and contentious matters, whether related to shipping or not.

Klaus Dimigen is also admitted to practice in the Republic of the Marshall Islands. He provides opinion letters related to this jurisdiction, gives advice on corporate matters and pursues contentious matters at the High Court in Majuro, Marshall Islands. Also, the Marshall Islands law related work is not limited to shipping.
