Kenneth Hansen represents bilateral, multilateral and commercial lenders as well as project developers in domestic and international infrastructure project financings, particularly in the energy sector. Ken leads the firm's extensive practice in connection with the US Department of Energy’s Loan Guarantee Program for energy projects embodying innovative technologies. His sectoral experience ranges from power generation, transmission and distribution projects to oil and gas, transportation, and telecommunications infrastructure projects, as well as a range of industrial and commercial projects. He is also experienced in debt work-outs and the settlement of investment disputes, including political risk insurance claims.
Career
Ken was previously a partner in the Project Finance Group at Chadbourne & Parke, which he joined from the Export- Import Bank of the United States, where he was General Counsel. Previously, he was Associate General Counsel of OPIC. Ken is also an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law Center and John Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
