Career
For 9 years Julio held different positions in the Colombian Competition Authority (SIC), among others, as coordinator of the Competition Protection Group and head of the Business Integrations working group.
He is an expert in Competition Law and Telecommunications Law, particularly in matters related to the radio spectrum. After several years in the public sector, in 2016 Julio joined the firm MBCR, now ECIJA Colombia, as a partner.
He is a postgraduate lecturer in Competition and Unfair Competition Law at the Javeriana, Rosario, Externado and Sergio Arboleda Universities in Colombia. Julio holds a law degree from the Universidad Externado de Colombia and is a specialist in European and Spanish Competition Law from the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles de Madrid.
