Trained in both civil and common law, Ms. Bédard has a doctorate in conflict of laws and represents clients in connection with litigation and arbitration proceedings throughout the world, on governing law, jurisdiction, extraterritoriality, corruption post-acquisition, shareholder and joint venture agreements, and energy and infrastructure projects.
Julie Bédard serves as counsel and arbitrator in international proceedings under the auspices of the International Chamber of Commerce, the American Arbitration Association, the International Centre for Dispute Resolution and the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, in addition to UNCITRAL arbitrations. Ms. Bédard is a member of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement dispute settlement panel and also sits on the ICC International Court of Arbitration.
