Career
Juliana is one of the partners responsible for the formation of the ESG practice of the firm in 2020. She has more than 20 years of legal experience with socio-environmental matters, focusing on a wide range of subjects, including Private Social Investment, business and human rights, and ESG strategy, offering clients guidance to minimize the risk of litigation and enhance their reputation.
Juliana also works with corporate governance and several projects involving legal due diligence with broad ESG and human rights scope. She supports companies to meet ESG oversight expectations and mandates of regulators, institutional investors and markets.
Juliana is a member of the Global Compact’s Corporate Governance Committee, the Brazilian Association of Publicly-Held Companies’ (Abrasca) ESG Committee, Laboratório de Inovação Financeira’s ESG Risk Management and Transparency Working Group, and the Instituto Ethos’ Human Rights and Companies group. She previously practiced as an international attorney at the New York office of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.
