Founding partner of Malpica, Iturbe, Buj y Paredes, Mr Iturbe has represented plaintiffs and defendants in all types of cases and proceedings before the Supreme Court of Justice, as well as federal and state courts.

Mr Iturbe’s main area of practice and experience is arbitration and litigation in civil, commercial, bankruptcy and administrative proceedings, in which he has been practising since 1990. He participates actively in Barra Mexicana Colegio de Abogados, Asociacion Nacional de Abogados de Empresa and he is a member of the Honourable National Bar Association of Mexico (Ilustre y Nacional Colegio de Abogados de México), the US-Mexico Bar Association, and the International Bar Association where he is delegate of the Litigation Committee.

He has delivered the commercial agreements module in the corporate law master’s degree programme at Anahuac University (Universidad Anahuac) and the subject title Negotiable Instruments and Credit Operation (undergraduate level) at the same university. He is also a professor of the module titled International Organisms in Commercial Matters in the law master’s degree programme of his alma mater. Similarly, he has participated as a speaker in seminars organised by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) on the following topics: Legal Reforms and Initiatives on Intellectual Property Matters and Protection of Atypical Intellectual Property Rights.
