Career

Joseph is a Senior Accredited Specialist in Maritime and Shipping Law accredited by the Singapore Academy of Law.

Joseph's practice focuses on shipping and international trade disputes and has advised client on all aspects of shipping and international trade, ranging from charter party disputes to disputes arising from the sale and purchase of commodities like coal, iron ore and oil. His admiralty law practice sees Joseph acting in ship arrests and tonnage limitation actions in the Singapore courts.

In view of the cross border nature of his practice, Joseph is often instructed to act in international arbitrations that are seated in Singapore, Hong Kong and London.

As an accredited arbitrator, Joseph has been appointed as an arbitrator in both administered and ad hoc arbitrations and is currently on the Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration's as well as the China Maritime Arbitration Commission's panel of arbitrators.
