Joseph P Cunningham

Partner in the Asset Management Department with experience representing leading sponsors of hedge funds, fund of funds, wealth management platforms and private equity funds with respect to fund formation and all related matters. Has extensive experience working with clients to structure open- and closed-end and hybrid vehicles to invest in liquid and illiquid asset classes. Routinely advises clients on optimal fund structures and terms, sales and marketing, investor communications, side letters, trading and investments, day-to-day operations and regulatory compliance. Working closely with Willkie’s leading insurance practice, has extensive experience representing the world’s largest insurance and reinsurance companies and asset managers on the formation of insurance-linked securities (ILS) funds.
