Joseph M. Birkenstock

Political law: Joseph Birkenstock practices in all areas of political law, advising corporations, non-profit organizations, candidates, officeholders, major donors, and other clients in structuring and undertaking their political, lobbying, and issue-advocacy projects. He also helps clients respond to controversies involving issues of political law such as alleged campaign finance improprieties, conflicts of interest, and real or perceived violations of other legal and ethical obligations.

Birkenstock has been a member of Sandler Reiff Lamb Rosenstein and Birkenstock, P.C. since 2014. Previously, he practiced at three other firms and spent six and a half years as an in-house counsel at the Democratic National Committee, including the last four of those years as Chief Counsel.
