José María Domínguez Crespo

He is responsible for the Tax and Tax Law Department of Rivero & Gustafson and has been a member of the firm since November 2007.

He began his professional career in the State Agency of the Tax Administration. For six and a half years (2001-2007) he was part of the Bufete Barrilero y Asociados, providing recurring advice to individuals, large estates, and national companies from very diverse sectors as a general counsel in the tax field.

During his career at both Bufete Barrilero y Asociados, and Rivero & Gustafson he has directed work on all kinds of issues falling within the framework of tax law, including tax planning, administrative, economic-administrative, and administrative-contentious procedures, as well as providing assistance and direction in management, inspection, collection, sanctioning and liability referral procedures. He has extensive experience in appearing in court proceedings.

In addition, José María has taken part with his team in numerous due diligence processes, as well as providing tax advice for corporate restructuring transactions.

Madrid Bar Association

He has taught postgraduate classes on administrative-contentious proceedings at the Complutense University of Madrid.
