Career

Jorge Pérez-Taiman specializes in legal advice on exploration, exploitation, refining, transportation, distribution and commercialization of oil and gas, and related services.

He counsels on oil and gas regulations, regulatory audits, negotiation of licenses and exploration and production contracts, concessions for transportation and distribution of natural gas, as well as the implementation of gas processing plants.

Jorge has served as Legal Vice President of Occidental Peruana Inc. (1977-1990), and Assistant General Counsel of Occidental International Exploration & Production Co. (1990-1996) in California, having being in charge of the company’s international operations. He has negotiated oil and gas contacts in Egypt, Syria, Qatar, Pakistan, Albania, Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia, and Argentina.
