Jonathan Stoel is a partner in the Hogan Lovells International Trade and Investment and International Arbitration practices and a co-chair of the firm's Public International Law, Investment Treaty Protection, and International Arbitration group. His practice centers on complex matters involving international trade and customs issues, treaty-based claims, and public international law.

Jonathan supports clients in several industries, including the steel, pharmaceutical, energy, agriculture, and consumer products sectors. He represents clients in U.S. international trade and customs matters before the U.S. Department of Commerce, the U.S. International Trade Commission, the Office of the United States Trade Representative, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, as well as appeals to the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Jonathan also represents sovereigns and claimant investors in investment treaty arbitrations before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes and its additional facility, as well as in arbitrations under the Arbitration Rules of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law.

Jonathan is a member of the Board of Advisers of the Georgetown Journal of International Law and a co-chair of the International Trade Committee of the Federal Circuit Bar Association.
