Jon is a planning lawyer, specialising in advising the public sector on projects of regional and national significance. Jon has a strong reputation for advising on regionally and nationally significant projects across the north of England, such as York Central, West Yorkshire Mass Transit, East Leeds Extension, Carlisle Southern Link Road and the International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP). He is also known for his work in national infrastructure planning, including high profile energy projects such as Hinkley Point C and the related Grid Connection, and Eggborough CCGT. Jon heads Pinsent Masons' wider Property Department in Leeds and was appointed as Leeds office head in 2021, evidence of his standing in the market. He is a Patron of LandAid, the Property Industry Charity aiming to end youth homelessness.
