Recognised by directories as a “rising star” “headed for the very top”, Jon has wide-ranging experience of commercial disputes including contractual, shareholder, corporate, banking and insolvency matters. He has particular expertise in matters involving civil fraud, enforcement and asset recovery (including both commercial and sovereign debt), and he has obtained a number of ground-breaking orders in this regard.

Jon has an international practice with clients including sovereigns, financial institutions, corporate clients, high-net-worth individuals and insolvency practitioners, and has acted on a number of complex and high value Russian/CIS cases.

Career

After graduating from the University of Cambridge in History and converting to law, Jon trained and qualified at Jones Day (2004-2014) before joining PCB Litigation LLP (subsequently PCB Byrne LLP) where he was promoted to Partner (2014-2022). He joined Cooke, Young & Keidan LLP in 2022.
