Practice Areas
Mr Gilbert resolves disputes in the energy sector through litigation, arbitration, expert determination and mediation. He advises on a broad range of disputes related to oil and gas exploration and production, including in relation to gas sales agreements, the construction and operation of pipelines, and the downstream sector. In addition, he advises on disputes relating to power generation, both conventional and renewables with particular experience in relation to the construction of renewables projects. Mr Gilbert has also represented clients on issues related to business and human rights and on conducting incident investigations.
Career
Prior to joining Bracewell, in addition to working in private practice, Mr Gilbert served as in-house counsel in the dispute resolution team of an oil and gas supermajor.
